Overview
The David R. Meager Malta Community Center was built in 2000 and expanded in 2009 to serve as a place for area residents to enjoy comprehensive programs and activities that encourage health, fitness, cultural, recreational, educational, and social opportunities.

The Department of Parks, Recreation and Human Services is housed in the center and offers more than 500 diverse recreational opportunities each year for all ages and interests. In a unique partnership to benefit the community, the center facility is also home to the Malta Branch of the Round Lake Library.

The Malta Community Center is the ideal space for meetings, shows, birthday parties, showers and other gatherings. Rentals can be conducted Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 9:00 pm or Saturdays 9:00 am to 12:00 noon.

Multi-purpose Room 104 $50 per hour 2,100 sq. ft. 100 at tables / 200 in chairs Large room with stage and tiled floor that can be divided by a sound resistant retractable door. Perfect for large parties, meetings, shows and other gatherings.
Multi-purpose Room - 104A side $25 per hour 950 sq. ft. 50 at tables / 60 in chairs One-half of the large multi-purpose room that is divided by sound resistant retractable door.
Multi-purpose Room 104B side $25 per hour 1,150 sq. ft. 50 at tables / 60 in chairs One-half of the large multi-purpose room that is divided by sound resistant retractable door and has handicap accessible stage.
Kitchen $10 per hour when rented with another room

    Commercial size kitchen offers stove, microwave, refrigerator, food prep island, sinks and ice machine.

Gerald E. Winters Gymnasium
The gymnasium features wood floors, is air conditioned and is lined for full court basketball and volleyball. Other sports such as pickle ball, tennis, badminton, and soccer can be played. The gym can also be divided into half courts by using the suspended curtain. Many classes and programs are offered in the gymnasium as well as open gym times for families, adult basketball, and indoor walking.

Rentals are available Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 9:00 pm or Saturdays 9:00 am to 12:00 noon.
