Mosquito Dunks

Why use mosquito dunks?

Mosquitos spread many diseases, including West Nile, Zika, and Chikungunya Virus. Mosquito dunks kill mosquitos while they are still larvae before they are able to spread disease.

How do they work?

A Mosquito Dunk floats on standing water. As the dunk dissolves, it releases a bacterium which is toxic to all species of mosquito larvae. The Bacterium is deadly to mosquito larvae but harmless to humans or pets.

Areas of use

Water troughs, Birdbaths, Rain Barrels, Drainage Ditches, Dry Creek beds, Lakes & Ponds, Overflow holding areas, roof gutters, sewage lagoons, storm sewers, tire dumps, swimming pools, water gardens, any place where water collects and remains for period of time.

Usage Instructions

One Mosquito dunk will treat 100 square feet of surface water for 30 days. For less water, a portion of a mosquito dunk can be used. The dunks do not affect other organisms in the water and are safe for use around birds, wildlife, children and pets.
