SUMMER OPPORTUNITIES
CAMP MALTA The Malta Parks and Recreation Department is now offering a FULL day Summer Camp option. CAMP MALTA will be held at the newly expanded Malta Community Center. This NYS Health Department licensed program will be well supervised with professional counseling staff. This program will be open to children entering First through Fifth grades in the fall of 2010. Participants will enjoy summer days packed with fun activities such as sports, crafts, games, movies, library time, nature activities and character building lessons. In addition, campers will participate in swimming one time a week and one field trip per week at no additional cost!

MALTA SUMMER RECREATION PROGRAM
Please note there are new changes for 2010.
The Malta Summer Recreation Program is a six-week program for children entering Kindergarten through ninth grade. Children have the option of attending a weekly off-site trip for an additional fee that may extend the camp hours. This structured, well supervised program licensed by the New York State Health Department provides an opportunity for children to use their summer, leisure time constructively.
Dates & Locations:
Program runs July 7, 2010 - August 13, 2010.
Shenantaha Creek Park offers the summer recreation program for grades K - 2nd & grades 3rd - 6th Monday - Friday 9:30am -12:30pm.*
Malta Community Park offers the summer recreation program for grades K- 2nd & grades 3rd - 5th Monday - Friday 9:30am -12:30pm.*
A Teen Program for grades 6th - 9th is held at the Malta Community Park which is offered Monday - Thursday 9:30am - 12:30pm.*
Field Trips: Field trips for all ages are available on a limited basis this year. Registrations will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. So sign up early!
Registration Fees: Malta Residents $60 Non-Residents $250
Registration Information:
A parent or guardian must register his/her own child by mail or in person at the Community Center. In order to register, you must provide a current immunization record from your child’s doctor, proof of residency and proof of legal guardianship, when applicable.
