Care Links

CARE LINKS, the program that provides a helping hand to enable seniors over 60 to remain independent and to continue living in their own home, is desperately in need of volunteers.

The program that matches volunteers in the community with seniors in need of assistance currently has 9 people on the waiting list.  Volunteer’s tasks could range from providing respite for a family member who is caring for someone in their home, providing the companionship of a friendly visit, picking up a few groceries once a week to supplement the Saratoga County Home Delivered Meal Program deliveries, or providing transportation for someone in dialysis treatment.

All volunteers will receive an initial screening to determine where there is a match between volunteer and the need identified.  This 10 year old program provides assistance to seniors in the towns of Clifton Park, Halfmoon, Malta and the City of Mechanicville.

To volunteer, call CARE LINKS at (518) 371-5179.  There is no minimum number of hours required, just a willingness to be a neighbor helping a neighbor.  We could use your help.

For futher information on how you may help. Phone 518-371-5179  or email carelink@nycap.rr.com
